The Row to Launch Eyewear in the Spring

Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen are making a big impact in the fashion industry with their Elizabeth & James and The Row labels. Since the inception of the higher priced The Row line, the sisters have expanded their empire with shoes and accessories and now sunglasses. One look at the Olsen’s and you’ll see why their clothing labels are so successful. They not only design chic pieces for the fashion elite but also rock their own designs for all to see.

The Row, which has garnered support from fashion insiders, will debut four eye eyewear silhouettes next spring that will retail for $325-$390. The four distinct shapes include an oversized square-framed, a sixties style round pair (think Yoko Ono), Aviators and a vintage inspired brow-line sunnies. The girls told WWD that they are testing the waters with the four silhouettes to see which ones fans are more receptive to, with the hopes of unveiling more eyewear silhouettes. The collaboration with legendary eyewear brand Linda Farrow is spectacular. “We tried to find certain pieces that look good on more than one face, to pay close attention to how they fit certain faces and make them wearable at the same time,” said Ashley to WWD.
