The Glamazon Diaries, the premiere fashion & lifestyle website based in Washington, DC, is looking for two stellar interns with an interest in fashion, beauty, entertainment and lifestyle, to begin immediately. Combining content, commerce and community, The Glamazon Diaries inspires readers and members to lead a more glamorous life by making fashion and beauty more accessible.
We’re seeking an editorial intern with an interest in fashion, beauty, entertainment and lifestyle. Editorial interns should be very interested in fashion, design, art, music, restaurants, new media, and discovering the gems in the city and out there on the world wide web. Interns will play strategic roles in developing a new, targeted influencer program and also will have the opportunity to have their work published and attend key events such as fashion shows, product previews, industry trade shows, insider events, market appointments, and more. Interns will be working directly with the Managing Editor. Room for growth.
Ideal intern applicants are self-motivated, team players, laid-back yet hardworking, stylish, have a great sense of humor, and are 100% reliable. Duties include: Maintaining social networking sites, compiling traffic reports, blog production, QAing, and giveaway fulfillment, organizing look books and press material, researching stories and trends, calling in products, sending out emails to featured vendors, updating our contact lists and much, much more.
The ideal candidate will be a junior or senior pursuing an undergrad degree in magazines or online publishing. Knowledge of XHTML, Photoshop, photography and blogging software is preferred. An interest in fashion, beauty and the Web is a plus, as is prior internship experience.
