I can’t believe the Glamazon Diaries has been online for two years. How time flies when I’m having fun. I started my blog two years ago, on August 14, 2007 with the intention of just chronicling my likes and dislikes in fashion. Never did I dream in a million years that the blog would take off this much with so many followers.
As a thank you for being loyal readers, I am inviting you all to the two year anniversary party this Friday, August 14, 2009 at SPOT Lounge in Dupont Circle (1214 18th Street, NW) from 9:00pm – 2:00am. Join my fabulous hosts, including a few models, reality tv stars, style gurus and friends who’ve made it possible for me to keep my head above water as we toast to two more years of style and substance.
There will be a red carpet special starting at 9:00pm followed by a cocktail party at the hot spot. If you haven’t been to Spot Lounge yet, we’ve got surprises for you. The venue is absolutely perfect for the Glamazon Diaries with the walls adorned with runway photos and a sleek lounge look. Thanks to Petals for the People, a brand new floral subscription service in the nation’s capital, Spot will be adorned with fresh vibrant blooms. Who says a girl can’t have flowers any day of the week? A couple of guests will get to take home some of these fabulous arrangements at the end of the night.
There will be an open bar sponsored by Peroni, Italy’s premiere beer fit for a Glamazon and wine from Virginia’s newest winery, Paradise Springs from 9:00pm – 11:00pm and of course refreshments by Glaceau SmartWater for those who want to skip the alcohol or simply rehydrate.
The attire is cocktail chic so make sure you are dressed to the nines in your most fabulous summer frocks, pants, heels, jumpsuits and baubles.
Of course the red carpet special will not be possible without the help of Washington-based printing service Automated Graphic Imaging, who will be creating my promotional materials.
You must RSVP in order to be let into the event. Simply go to http://www.bisnow.com/glamazon to RSVP.
