By now if you haven’t heard of FitFlops or MBT’s you must have been hiding under a rock. The latest craze to hit the fitness and fashion world in a couple of years is the shoe that gives you a workout while walking around.
FitFlops are elevated flip flops with a slight arch on the front and back of them. The intent is that when one walks in these, he or she is able to stand upright thus teaching proper posture and alignment and toning and tightening the leg muscles. Sounds to good to be true? I am a believer in the technology.
I’ve been wearing my MBTs half the summer and I do see some results. Despite looking like a grandma walking down Wisconsin Avenue on my daily trips to the grocery store or salad place, I would rather sneak in some extra tightening and toning or TnT as I call it.
I haven’t tried the FitFlop yet but I am hoping to get a pair to wear around during the summer. I think they would probably be a good alternative to wearing flats while commuting because I would get more support and cushioning from the FitFlop than I would wearing a supportless ballet flat. With all due respect, they're hardly "the latest craze". People were nuts for them two years ago, if not before that. Good to know that MBTs work, though.
I love my Fit Flops. The bronze pair actually get compliments… I guess they don't look as orthopedic as the white soled ones.
Definitely can feel them working after a long day of walking around town!
I do agree with you. Indeed FitFlops are too comfortable and thus absolutely perfect for regular use. I simply love the FitFlop Electra in Black Sequins.
