Ralph Lauren Models and Bottles

June 29, 2009

I went to the newest DC hotspot Donovan House on Friday night to meet Ralph Lauren model Ignacio “Nacho” Figuera, who was in town to play in the Capital Hospice Cup. The First Chukker Foundation hosted a rooftop party with Capitol File magazine for special guests.

Since it started pouring cats and dogs on the rooftop, we moved the party inside with a chef’s tasting at Zentan, Donovan House’s new restaurant. While noshing on decadent sushi, duck and more, Nacho stopped by our table to say hello. I asked him to show me a couple of sultry poses to try out the next time I am photographed. He showed me #247, which looked quite familiar, perhaps in his ads for Ralph Lauren. We’ll see if I can pull of this pose in future postings.

The dress I wore is actually a mid calf black skirt I bought at Macy’s. I love the skirt a lot but just couldn’t bear to wear it as such any longer. In my effort to rush out the door, I just slipped it on as a dress (too lazy to coordinate with a shirt) and added a few accessories, my Givenchy bowtie pumps and red clutch. I absolutely adore the skirt as a dress because the embroidery takes center stage when pulled up. I am going to take it to the tailor this week to add a little more shape to the bust.
