Elizabeth + James Shoe Introduce Shoe Collection

June 9, 2009

Elizabeth + James is one of my favorite clothing brands. The creatives behind the line are non other than the Olsen Twins, Mary Kate and Ashley. Their line is full of on-trend pieces that celebs can’t seem to get hands off. With the success of the Elizabeth & James, The Row and many other collaborations, the twins are setting their sites on shoes.

Elizabeth & James unveiled a collection of shoes to compliment the Elizabeth and James clothing line. The twin’s take on fashion is simplicity and impeccable chic that can be adopted by almost anyone. The shoes have been released but many styles are on pre-order until late June or July and why not? It’s the pre-fall collection. Here are five faves on my lust list.

The Elizabeth and James ‘Olivia’ d’Orsay Pump,$270 is a mix between an open toe bootie and a pump. The d’orsay style shoes off the sexy arch but provides a bit of support. The Olivia will look absolutely smashing with a mini dress like the Cleo Brands One Shoulder Dress, $122.

The Elizabeth and James ‘Edge’ Gladiator Sandal ,$295 as seen left on Mary Kate, is the must have summer gladiator. The twins were inspired by a vacay in Greece when they discovered that a true gladiator sandal should have thicker straps and an inclined heel. These gladiators are perfect for a tunic for a no fuss day time look or with distressed jeans and a blazer.

The Elizabeth and James ‘Luella’ Sandal ,$325, looks a bit vintagey with its distressed look. A variation of a bootie and a gladiator heel, the Luella fits perfectly in line with the Elizabeth and James collection. A belted flirty floral frock and a thin headband worn in a boho chic (think Nicole Ritchie) is what this shoe needs.

The Elizabeth and James ‘Jazz’ Pump,$325 reminds me of a Christian Louboutin heel but at a much affordable price. These pumps are going to be one of the most versatile shoes any closet. Jazz up a sheath LBD or DVF wrap dress or feminize a pant suit. It would be too easy to think pencil skirt and a button down a la Victoria Beckham. Why not try a knee length A-line skirt as seen on Kerry Washington.

Give your feet a break from high heels and opt for the Elizabeth and James ‘Stock’ Moccasin,$295. Lux pony hair surrounds the entire surface of this moccasin. These will look fabulous with a straight leg jean and button down shirt.
