I beat the rain this afternoon with a shopping trip to Pentagon City, after an event at Macy’s. I stopped in at J.Crew and snagged some wellies for $19.99 then headed across the street to Marshalls to checkout their latest stock of clothes and shoes. Check out what I found on my excursion.
Hidden in the stacks of heels by Jessica Simpson, Franco Sarto, BCBGirls, Tahari and many more was a pair of lace up gladiator heels by Dolce & Gabbana. Now I am not sure how long these shoes have been there but they were exactly my size. I tried them on and they felt like gloves so I checked the price. The shoes were only $150, a significant markdown from it’s original price a couple of seasons ago of over $800. This is the best buy of the month for me.
I quickly snagged them, snapped a couple of pictures and darted to the checkout stand to bring these babies home where they belong. These heels will be very cute with a white spaghetti strapped Milly dress with yellow accents I saw at Urban Chic a couple of days ago or my brand new Thakoon dress I bought from Gilt Groupe.
I’ve found some special pieces at Marshalls on some of my trips to the mall, including a pair of Christian Louboutin pumps and Sergio Rossi heels. Don’t get me wrong, finding designer pieces at stores like Marshalls and TJ Maxx is not easy but with a keen eye and knowing what’s good and what should be left on the rack, you too can be a savvy shopper.
