Time Magazine Editorial on Designers Paying Homage to Yves Saint Laurent

September 25, 2008

Modeling’s newest it girl, Chanel Iman graces the cover of this week’s Time magazine as well as in an editorial piece about designers dedicating their collections to Yves Saint Laurent. The photo editorial, titled “Shock of Chic,” something some of the best collections from the AW08 as well as designers who tastefully and respectfully paid homage to YSL without plagiarizing or looking cheap. Chanel Iman looks like a younger Naomi Campbell in this beatifully laid out spread. The eight spreads in the editorial include a black velvet Armani blazer and wool pants, YSL slacks, a pristine white silk Proenza Schouler bowed blouse, the widely famous little black dress from Balenciaga – Khiera Knighly is photographed wearing that dress in the September issue of American Vogue – with a side slit up to there, a gorgeous silk wool coat from Bottega Veneta with cascading curl shavings of silk and many more.
