Oscar de la Renta knows how to create beautiful silhouettes for the sophisticate.  For fall ’08, the designer’s retro inspired dresses will be imitated but never duplicated. The level of craftsmanship and attention to detail on this malachite Bow Dress by Oscar de la Renta is fit for a princess or a lady. The flounce skirt has a ’50s vibe but is updated with silk bow trim detail at the hemline.  The cut of the dress is very forgiving and flatters any body. The bateau neck is very ladylike and will compliment a Chanel necklace or pearl necklace and earrings set. The purple is a little bit more grown up and sophisticated but trendy at the same time. This dress is timeless and will be in style for decades. The bow dress is definitely an investment piece at $2,990. Any de la Renta fan should have this in her closet for fall.
