Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren of Viktor & Rolf are launching limited editions of their signature scents, Flowerbomb and Antidote, to celebrate “The House of Viktor & Rolf,” an upcoming retrospective at the Barbican Art Gallery in London. The exhibit will be opening next week, June 18 and will run until September 21, 2008. It will showcase each major piece the Dutch designers have created in the last 15 years.
The limited edition male and female perfumes, Antidote and Flowerbomb, respectively, will be on sale summer. The specially packaged fragrances are being produced in very limited quantities. The “Flowerbomb Dolls” edition in a specially designed grenade shaped bottle is available in very limited quantity of 2,000 at $147. Antidote, the male signature scent will offered in a limited edition of 1,000 at $116. Each bottle is numbered and signed by the designers. The gorgeous appliqués to the bottles and packaging were created by François Berthoud, a Milan-based illustrator.
“The memory of this sweet utopia staged at the Barbican Gallery will thus be impressed, as if for eternity, onto our two iconic fragrances, Flowerbomb and Antidote,” the designers said. “May the dream live on forever!” [FWD]
