Remember when supermodels roamed the earth? Naomi, Tyra, Linda, Cindy, these were household names that glorified modeling. The golden age of supermodels died when designers started introducing the waif-look with boyish looking models prancing on the catwalk. Time are-a-changing and designers have heard our cries for return to normalcy. The supermodels are back this season and better than ever. Linda Evangelista will be the new face of Miuccia Prada’s fall Prada campaign. The first photo released of Evangelista in the Prada ad is of the supermodel looking fabulous in a ‘hot for teacher’ lace suit. Look for the ads in the August issue of Vogue Italia – hits newsstands on July 4. Yves Saint Laurent also decided to bring back one of our favorite supermodels, Naomi Campbell for the label’s campaign. Images of Naomi in the Stefano Pilati directed campaign will be featured in August issues of some of your favorite fashion magazines. [WWD]
