Oscar de la Renta Unveils 2009 Resort Collection

May 19, 2008

Never overdone and highly sophisticated, the Oscar de la Renta 2009 Resort Collection was pure elegance. The designer unveiled an amazing collection of lace and silk dresses that are sure to appease all his fans. Traditional resort colors of corals, blues, pinks, yellows, emeralds and corals graced the runways. What I loved most about the collection was his unexpected mix of equestrian hats with a couple of the looks. Ivory silk high waisted pants made me want to sail away on a Caribbean cruise. The climax of the runway show was de la Renta’s exhibition of voluminous gowns so grandiose that models were swimming in tulle and organza. High fashion, high drama and nothing less than perfection, de la Renta outdid himself with his 2009 Resort collection.
