Nina Garcia Accepts Position at Marie Claire

Nina Garcia has finally accepted a position at Marie Claire after weeks of speculation about her departure from Elle Magazine as the fashion director, a position she’s held for 13 years. Her move though a little bittersweet, will be put off until the fall in order for her to complete one more season of Project Runway, an Elle magazine partnered show.

Until her move in the fall, Garcia will become the editor-at-large for Elle rather than stay on as the magazine’s fashion director. I wonder if the move to Marie Claire has anything to do with Project Runway’s move from Bravo to Lifetime…
