Peacock Grand Café & Bloomingdale’s Brunch/Fashion Show

March 27, 2008

Fashion for Paws is sold old and I bet you didn’t get a ticket. Whaaa! Alright enough of the crying. You can still show some love to the animals of the Washington Humane Society and still preview some amazing collections courtesy of Bloomingdales. Join the Washington Humane Society and Bloomingdales as they host a Spring Fashion Show-Brunch on Saturday, March 29, 2008 from 10:30 a.m. t0 12:30 p.m. at Peacock Grand Cafe (2020 K Street, NW, Washington, DC 20006 ). Tickets are $50, with $25 tax deductible. Please call Peacock Grand Cafe to purchase your ticket and make your brunch reservation as seating is limited! Now for the fun part. What are you going to wear to this fashion show? You know you cannot show up looking frumpy for brunch right? RIGHT. Here is my perfect nice weather ensemble for your a brunch/fashion show in Georgetown. The main focal point of this outfit is the shoes. The Bruno Frisoni Straw Slingbacks, $1,045.00 are for the grown and sexy, not for the tame and mild at heart. Strut your fiercest walk down M Street and Wisconsin Street in style.

I love this outfit because there is one expensive piece (shoe) mixed with inexpensive threads. I found this dress at Forever 21 for $25. The sleeveless stretchy cotton trapeze dress is simple and elegant with the embroidered floral pattern scoop neck.
Simplicity is key to this look. The accessories are low key and compliments the entire outfit. Add the Majorica Hammered Oval Link Necklace and pearl studs to the outfit. You can add a cocktail ring or a bracelet but not both.

J. Crew Crocheted-petal hobo, $68, completes the look. Happy brunch. Think of this way, if you end up having a 10 hour brunch like I tend to do on Saturdays, you are already dressed for a night out.
