March 23, 2008

OMG, I LOVE your cuff link blurb – where did you find those??!! PERFECT for grooms presents/fathers day/etc. Send me more info por favor!!

Speaking of grooms though, w/ wedding season, gifts FROM guys TO guys is often a predicament (case and point, best guy friend totally stumped what to get his groomsmen) – any suggestions?” – Jenna

Hi Jenna,

Thank you for being a faithful reader. I am glad you loved the cuff links post. As for your question about gifts for groomsmen, it all depends on the budget, personality and style of each guy and the groom himself. I have put together a couple of ideas for your friend.

THE GOLFER
Give the gift of elegance to any of your groomsmen with sterling silver from Tiffany & co. Men love that tiny blue box as well. You don’t have to give the same present to each groomsmen; personalize it to fit their personality and lifestyle. Here are a couple gifts for the golfers:

This Paloma Picasso® golf tee tool comes with the tee, turf repairer and stymie marker.Got some cash to burn? If so, check out this sleek golf putter with a sterling silver club by Tiffany & Co.
FORE! I love this putter set. The Hampton Executive Putter , $44.49,set comes with a putter that disassembles for easy storage, 2 balls and a wood practice cup. The bonus is the wood case, augmented with brass handle and an engraved brass plate.

THE GENTLEMAN

A couple of my guy friends are the uber gentlemen type. You know, the martini loving, bourbon sipping, cigar smoking and sometime bow tie wearing types. If you have a group of guys that fit the description, here are a couple of ideas.

For the old fashioned gentlemen in your group, I suggest a chic stainless steel razor by Tiffany & Co. It is something so personal and will last for many many years.

A man looks polished when he’s wearing a blazer with a pocket square regardless of whether he is wearing jeans or a suit. Give the gift of sheer elegance to your guys with silk pocket squares. You can even get them embroidered with their names or initials to make it even more personalized.Banana Republic Pocket square, $20.00 or Hermes foulard, $125.I can’t get enough of Vineyard Vines and neither will your groomsmen. The colorful ties come in fun prints that definitely show of the personalities of the wearer. You can get the ties for less than $125.

Remember that it is not about the price of the gift, it is what comes from the heart that counts. Aside from some of the suggestions above, you can give cuff links, money clips. top quality bourbon and champagne etc.
