Herve Leger Halter Neck Dress: Gunmetal

Herve Leger became a fashion hit in the 1980s with his curve-contouring bandage dresses. His signature style bandage dresses are based on the simple idea of hand sewing lycra and spandex-rich fabrics contoured into a the desired hourglass shape.

Other designers are incorporating his body-con trademark into their collections. Always imitated but never duplicated, Herve Leger’s designs are back under the helm of Max Azria. Azria revamped the Leger brand but keeping true to the Leger concepts.
The label has garnered fans, including celebrities and socialites. Wearing a Herve Leger dress, gown, skirt or top creates the right contouring in the right places to give every woman the best figure she has always wanted. Here are a couple of celebrities and socialites that can’t get enough of Leger’s dresses. One Tree Hill star Sophia Bush wearing her HL dress at the 2007 Teen Choice Awards. Rihanna at the 2007 BET Awards in Los Angeles. Hayden Panettiere at the Victoria’s Secret Runway Show in Los Angeles. Lindsay Lohan wore the multi-coloured dress to 2007 Maxim Hot 100 party. Maria Menounos was looking red hot at the Kickin’ it Old Skool premiere.Catherine Zeta-Jones wore this dress to the ‘King Of California’ screening in August. Lindsay Lohan in a black and white block HL dress at a Cartier event. Nicole Ritchie looking stunning in a white HL gown. Rihanna’s body-con look on the red carpet.

Where can you get his designs? Net-A-Porter, Herve Leger and Intermix, on M Street in Georgetown, are now carrying his line on their site. I tried to buy one from Intermix but discovered that the dresses were sold out in my size. Leger’s dresses are the hottest thing since Berkin bags so make sure you hit the stores the minute they are up for sale
