It’s getting hot out there, which means our beauty routines need a little tweaking. On Tuesday night, I went to Henri Bendel on Fifth Avenue to Slow Down and Cool Down with Skyn Iceland, a beauty brand making a splash with gentle and soothing ingredients to fight signs of fatigue and aging.  Hosted by my friend Lara Eurdolian of Pretty Connected, the even drew an impressive amount of fashionistas and online beauty editors looking to discover the latest breakthrough in skincare.

Among the influencers was Samantha Lim, The Fabulous Report’s Lorna Solano, Us Weekly contributor Jon Valdez, Lemon Stripes’ Julia Dzafic, New York Times fashion writer Jessica Andrews, Style & Beauty Doctor’s Danielle Gray and many more. The evening’s pampering session plucked us out of the busy Manhattan streets into a Nordic oasis.

The Skyn Iceland welcomed guests with healthy juices from Liquiteria (they’re all the rage these days) but some opted for presecco (guilty).  I did try a few of the Liquiteria juices and was impressed. After all, they are New York’s original cold pressed juice maker.  They boast juices like The Bulldozer (Blueberries, strawberries, banana, apple cider, super green food and complete meal powder), The Mean Green (Kale, spinach, pineapple, mango, banana and fresh pineapple juice) and Afternoon Delight (Pineapple, melon, honey, mint and apple/pear juice) all of which are 100% natural and so good for you.  FYI bikini season is right upon us, which means it’s time to guzzle those juices.
