Alber Elbaz is keeping it real this fall in the advertising campaigns for Lanvin by using real people in the images.  Elbaz tapped real men and women between the ages of 18 to 80 to front Steve Meisel shot campaign. How real are these models? Well there’s a waiter, a hat maker, and and 80 year old woman who used to be a showgirl at the Apollo.

The images, according to WWD, will break in September issues in France, the U.S., Italy, Great Britain, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Russia and Brazil, with women’s-only spots running in Germany, Spain, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and the Middle East. A  behind the scenes footage will be released by Lanvin through a viral video on August 21.
