NEWS FLASH — 21 June 2012

Hedi Slimane’s first collection for Yves Saint Laurent has yet to hit the runway, yet he has convinced upper management to change the iconic French fashion house from Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche to Saint Laurent Paris, returning back to it’s original roots. The new branding will be in place before Slimane’s designs for Spring 2013 gets to stores. The brand’s co-founder Pierre Berge approves of this decision, along with YSL’s creative studios moving to Los Angeles. The YSL logo will still be used so no fear that the above will be emblazoned on new fragrance boxes, corporate material and the like.
