Red Carpet Retake: Nina Dobrev vs. Bernadette Peters in Donna Karan

Vampire Diaries actress Nina Dobrev stole the show at this year’s Emmy Awards in a dare to wear strapless red gown from Donna Karan, showing off her impressively statuesque figure in the body conscious dress. This creation was a dream, with a sculptural mermaid train to make an entrance.

Last night, Broadway legend Bernadette Peters wore the exact same gown in a deep purple color to the 66th Annual Tony Awards. The gown was gorgeous and flattering on her but not sure she pulled it off as effortlessly as Nina Dobrev did. Was it the hair or lack of accessories? You be the judge.
