COUTURE FOR A CAUSE — 22 April 2011

The Costume Institute will honor the late designer Alexander McQueen with a new exhibit opening in May.  “Savage Beauty” a retrospective on McQueen’s groundbreaking fashion portfolio will kick off with a much anticipated gala, perhaps the hottest and most coveted invitation this season.  Before the exhibit is unveiled to the world, photographer Steve Meisel shot a few pieces in the collection for Vogue.

Models Karen Elson, Coco Rocha, Stella Tennant, Karlie Kloss, Caroline Trentini and Raquel Zimmermann had the honor of modeling some of McQueens lavish creations for the editorial, which is accompanied by an interview with Sarah Barton, who shares memories of working by McQueen’s side for the collections.
