5 Valentine’s Day Presents Men Really Want

When Valentine’s Day rolls around, some of us expect the men in our lives to move heaven and earth to get us something amazing to profess their love.  And while men gladly oblige with flowers, candy, jewelry, lingerie and sexy surprises, they rarely ask for anything in return.

This Valentine’s Day, I am challenging you ladies to think outside the box and get your man something he’s sure to love.  And no, I’m not talking about those t-shirts with silly sayings on them.  Show your man you care and appreciate the many things he does for you with a gift he will remember. You won’t have to break the bank for them. So scroll down for five things to give your boyfriend on Valentine’s Day.  You can choose one of these gifts or all five to truly blow his mind.

1. A Day of Pampering

Men's Grooming

No, I am not talking about rose petal facials for your guy.  Gift him a grooming service like a trip to John Allan or The New York Shaving Company.  John Allan is a membership based men’s grooming lounge where the boys can escape for a few hours to get a classic shave, hair cut, manicure and even a facial while enjoying amenities like having a nice glass of Scotch.

It’s the men’s version of going to the DryBar and getting champagne and blowouts.  The John Allan’s Signature Full Service includes a scalp massaging shampoo, conditioning treatment, hot towel, haircut, manicure, shoeshine and beverages for $57.  They have locations in New York, San Francisco, Beverly Hills and Toronto.  New York Shaving Company also has a similar service with ‘The Ultimate Shave’ which comes with a haircut, ultimate shave and a glass of whiskey for $80.  If you reside outside of New York, a gift certificate to a nice men’s grooming salon in your area will do the trick.  Check out The Art of Shaving and Grooming Lounge for options.

2.  Couples massage at a nice spa

If you want to join in on the fun, why not book a spa day for two. You and your guy can enjoy a relaxing side-by-side massage, followed by an hour in the spa jacuzzi or sauna. Save the kinky shenanigans for the house.  No need to get kicked out of the spa. Couples massages will cost about $120 and up depending on where you go.  Look for deals on sites like Living Social and Groupon for spa discounts.  You can also save money by giving your man a well thought out massage and pampering session at home.

3. Give him bottle of Scotch with a risqué card instructing him to enjoy a glass…

What’s your boyfriend or husband’s favorite drink? Is it Scotch? Bourbon? Gin? Vodka? Wine? Buy him a nice bottle of his favorite wine or liquor and give it to him with a sexy card attached.  Make sure to instruct him to enjoy a glass however he takes it – neat, on the rocks – or better yet, make him his favorite cocktail after giving him the bottle.  The last bit of your note should have him meet you in the bedroom for the next surprise. Bulleit Bourbon, Blanton’s Bourbon, Johnny Walker Blue, Grey Goose, the options for drinks are limitless.

4. Confidently rock lingerie with the bells and whistles

Yandy Lingerie

Many men fantasize about women in lingerie so I will bet my money on the fact that your man wants to see you in something risque.  Ladies, your man loves you no matter your shape or size, so show off what you’ve got in sexy lingerie complete with a garter belt, thigh high stockings and heels.  He will be putty in your hands.  Sites like Yandy.com, AdoreMe.com and StagShop.com have affordable lingerie from size extra small to 6X.

Of course there are the usual go to brands like Victoria’s Secret, Agent Provocateur, Kiki De Montparnasse, Natori, Chantelle and Hanky Panky.  Put on some sexy music, it can be Lana Del Rey, Rihanna, Beyonce or Incubus, and give me a nice show.  A silk robe or a wrap dress worn over your lingerie is the perfect way to give him his strip tease. Then….
