get-attachment.aspxActress Lily Collins shines on the September issue of Seventeen Magazine, on sale August 6th. Collins is the daughter of musician Phil Collins, who got her start as a journalist writing for fashion titles such as Seventeen, Teen Vogue, and Elle Girl after graduating from University of Southern California.

With striking dark eyebrows, and shiny locks, it’s a no wonder she was one of twenty women named by Maxim magazine as one of “The Hottest Daughters of Rock Stars” in 2009. Collins notes to Seventeen on her style “I’ve definitely edged-up my style a little but not for any reason other than I’m experimenting with myself. I always wanted tattoos, so this past November, I got two. I got my back done first its my handwriting and it says, Love always and forever.”

Collins is best known for her portrayal of Collins Tuohy, sister of now football star Michael Oher in The Blind Side starring alongside Sandra Bullock, not to mention her major roles in Mirror Mirror with Julia Roberts, Abduction with Taylor Launter, and most recently the film adaptation of  City of Bones in the fantasy film The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, hitting theaters in mid-August.

Lily says she looked at fantasy movie starlets Kristen Stewart of Twilight and Jennifer Lawrence of The Hunger Games while preparing for her upcoming role “I admire how they’ve both handled the fame that came with those roles and their ability to step outside those roles and do other projects. That’s what I want to do balance fun big movies with gritty passion projects I love.”
