Anne Hathaway’s Influential Pixie Haircut and How It May Have Affected Her Style

Anne Hathaway. She’s a hit or miss among the people. You either love her or hate her (I still don’t understand why people loathe her). Whatever your feelings are towards her, you can’t deny her talent. And if you do deny her talent, tell it to her Oscar trophy. She’s come a long way from being the Princess of Genovia to her award winning role in Les Misérables making her an A-List actress.

Another item to put on her resume: number one most influential onscreen haircut of all time. According to the Hairdressing Council of Great Britain and Universal Pictures, her pixie cut for her role in Les Misérables ranked higher than Jennifer Aniston’s ‘do in Along Came Polly and Audrey Hepburn’s updo in Charade.

With so much Hollywood credit and now her famous top-ranked hairdo, you’d think it would be a great confidence booster. Maybe not…her style confidence that is. And her 2013 Oscars last minute dress change didn’t help either. I’m not saying short hair isn’t sexy (Miley’s at the top of her fashion game and sexier than ever since her statement pixie cut) but Anne’s style has changed a lot since her hair chop. Her red carpet style is more conservative these days. Could it be her new ‘do that caused her recent style change? Or maybe it’s just the stage in her career that could be the reason. No one can say for sure but there is a significant difference in her recent red carpet looks since her pixie debuted. Maybe Anne knows something that we don’t and is following the footsteps of Twiggy, Halle Berry and Linda Evangelista whose careers launched with help from their iconic locks. From low necklines, open-back and high-slit dresses to her recent demure red carpet looks, you be the judge of Anne’s style confidence.
