My interview with Fox 5 for JLW Tossed & Found

March 26, 2009

Every year the Junior League of Washington puts on its annual spring fundraiser called Tossed and Found, where fellow Junior Leaguers and their friends and family as well as community partners, donate gently used clothes, jewelry and accessories, furniture and housewares all for a three day sale. Bargain shoppers, recessionistas and frugal fannies can all snag items at amazing discounts.

As part of the Junior League, I was asked to participate in a fashion show called Project Rummage to put outfits together from donated items and talk about it on Fox 5 this morning. I was up at 5 am, an unheard of hour for this glamazon, primped and ready for my close-up with Fox 5 reporter Holly Morris. Myself along with Queen Bee jewelry designer Allison Priebe Brooks, Suzanne Day Siedman went through a room full of fab finds to come up with outfits for our models. Please see below for the video from this morning’s piece.

The preview night for the 17th Annual Tossed & Found is tomorrow night, Friday, March 27 at the Shops at Crystal City (2100 Crystal Drive) in Arlington. Doors open at 7pm for those who want to get their hands on the good finds. There is something for everyone so please come by. The sale is open to the general public starting Saturday, March 28 from 9AM – 5PM and continues through Sunday, March 29 9AM – 3PM.
