Michelle Obama glows in Pearls and Sequins

The governors of all fifty states were in town this weekend for the National Governors Association annul winter meeting. The White House decided to throw their first big soiree to welcome the distinguished guests. Coincidentally, the fete was the same night as the Oscars, which meant White House guests had to look extra special.

Michelle Obama could do no wrong in a gorgeous strapless Peter Soronen gown sparkling with sequins. The Chicago designer is one of MO’s favorites so it’s not a surprise to see her don the black frock. She added dramatic elegance to her dress with a graduated multi strand necklace by jewelry designer Tom Binns. MO looks perfect in every way with the soft updo and minimal makeup fit for a First Lady. The president doesn’t look so bad either but he should not be complaining about not getting a nod when he has such good arm candy.
