Get-the-Look: Amanda Peet at the 2014 Met Gala

May 6, 2014

"Charles James: Beyond Fashion" Costume Institute Gala - ArrivalsCelebrity Makeup Artist Tina Turnbow worked with Amanda Peet for the 2014 Met Gala tonight for Avon.

“Amanda is wearing a beautiful lace dress from Marc Jacobs that was our inspiration for her makeup,” Turnbow said. “It’s a mysterious and sexy look that still has a femininity to it.”

Below is how to get the look from Tina:

Face: I started by moisturizing the entire face to create smooth even skin. I then used Avon’s ANEW Reversalist Complete Renewal Express Wrinkle Smoother Compact around the eyes. It smooths out that area of the skin, which is great because it creates a blended canvas and you don’t need to use as much foundation. I then layered on the Makeup Forever HD Foundation and Anastasia Concealer. I finished the face with the Josie Maran Argan Matchmaker Powder Foundation and the mark. Touch & Glow All Over Shimmer Cubes.

Eyes: I used the NARS Brow Perfector Pencil to fill in her brows. I then lined the eyes with Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Perversion and winged out the corners a little. I then dabbed on the mark Touch & Glow on the inner corners and lids of the eyes. I finished with Avon Mega Effects Mascara in black on the top lashes for a delicate yet dramatic effect.

Lips: To bring out the shade in the dress, I finished the look with Avon’s Ultra Color Lipstick in Cherry Jubilee.
