Mykita for Damir Doma Spring 2013 Eyewear

December 4, 2012

Eyewear brand Mykita has partnered with Croatian designer Damir Doma on a limited edition sunglasses collection that launches January 2013.  Inspired by the designer’s spring 2013 collection, the frames pay homage to spectacles worn by intellectuals throughout history.  The rounded rimmed frame is made of stainless steel which is then coated with either gold, platinum or jet-black anthracite.  The front of rims are made of eight different blends of horn that creates a multi-tonal hue that makes the frames pop. Each pair of shades is housed in a leather case and comes with a cool strap system so it can be worn as a belt.
