FASHION — 04 December 2012

British designer Mary Katranzou has blown up in the past few seasons for showcasing her obsession with prints.  Her abstract and sometimes not so abstract collections are beloved by celebrities and fashion insiders.  For the holidays, Katranzou has partnered with the Design Museum in London to design a Christmas tree to be displayed in the museum starting today until January 9th.  Standing at nearly 10-feet tall, the 2D tree was inspired by the designer’s fall/winter 2012 collection with overlapping garden prints, lace work to look like an intricate motif.

If in London this holiday season, make sure to check out a few of the Design Museum exhibitions including Unexpected Pleasures: the Art and Design of Contemporary Jewellery, Digital Crystal: Swarovski at the Design Museum and Designers in Residence.
