Uhmm what was Miley Cyrus thinking this evening when she chopped her long locks off and went platinum blonde? The newly engaged – to longtime beau Liam Hemsworth – singer and actress tweeted a photo of her new do saying she felt whole doing so.

We must admit Miley kind of looks bad ass in this newly shorn cut and if Michelle Williams and Emma Watson can do it, so can she.  But isn’t she getting married soon? Wouldn’t she want those long locks for her bridal veil? Perhaps she did it for a role or for attention.  Whatever the reasons behind this new hair style may be, we’re just happy Miley is content with her decision to go short.

The singer’s stylist Chris McMillan dyed her dark locks platinum blonde last week, a photo of which she tweeted out to fans.  Her decision to chop off her hair did not sit well with some of her fans, which warranted the singer to tweet,

“If you don’t have something nice to say don’t say anything at all.” She continued, “My hair is attached to my head no one else’s and it’s going bye bye ”
