As an accessories lover, I consider myself a scarf ace, owning more than 50 silk scarves and quite a few pashiminas. On my list of can’t live without items is a gorgeous Hermes scarf, an indulgent purchase but definitely worth it.  Scarves are so versatile that I sometimes use larger ones as a halter top or a sarong to cover up on the beach.

Scarf prints are flirty and feminine and have been making their way into other items of dress.  Celebrities like Kristen Stewart, Cate Blanchett and Devon Aoki have all been sporting looks on the red carpet inspired by this closet staple.  Lucky for us regular girls, high street brands have created looks that won’t break the bank.  If you do want to splurge however, check out Gucci, Givenchy, Roberto Cavalli and Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti.  Check out a selection of edited by yours truly.
