Sketches from DEIVIE S/S 13 Collection

New York based designer Christina Mannino is gearing up to show the spring/summer 2013 collection for her women’s wear line DEIVIE.  As with most designers, spring is going to be chockfull of color – pastels and whites.  The colors in the DEIVIE collection were inspired byMichele Bernhardt’s book COLORSTROLOGY, which pairs a pantone color with birth dates and then analyze what that colors says about the individual’s personality traits.  The three main colors in the collection are orchid smoke, bright chartreuse and dream blue.

The collection is downtown cool with a sophisticated flare.  A powder blue tailored trouser suit gets updated with the orchid smoke peter pan color top.  There is also a pair sequin hotpants with a white cap sleeve blouse that Blake Lively would kill for.  The entire collection is inspired by Sienna Miller’s character Nikki from the movie Alfie and also draws inspiration from the Youthquake movement of the Sixties.  Each garments has special details like gun embroidery on the collars of shirts, custom embroidery on belts and tea length dresses that mix the aesthetic of the qaunt Sixties with the romance of rock ‘n roll.
