Grr! I hate sounding more dated than my real age but teens and young adults these days are really spoiled.  The fashions available when I was in high school were abysmal compared to the offerings available to girls today.  I was fortunate enough to get a Vera Wang dress for my senior prom way back when because I was the only girl in my family and my step-dad wanted to spoil me silly.  You could say he is the reason I became obsessed with Vera Wang wedding gowns.  Fast forward several years to 2012, when Vera Wang has decided to offer teens and tweens obsessed with her collections a chance to own one of her creations with a fast fashion line exclusively at Kohl’s.

First of all ladies, I am in my mid 20s, and categorize my style as classically conservative.  Though I haven’t shopped at Kohl’s in several years, I assured myself a trip to one of its stores or at least a shopping trip online because Vera Wang is launching Princess Vera Wang, a collection of affordable contemporary women’s wear high schoolers and college students are going to covet.  I received a package a few weeks ago with a few pieces from the Princess Vera Wang collection to review.

Aside from the super cute eyelet shorts that will NEVER fit my voluptious butt cheeks (afterall, Princess Vera Wang is really for young adults), everything in the collection is super wearable and transferable to all age groups.

My favorite item in the collection is a super preppy v-neck sweater in navy with lime green and grey piping.  This sweater is bound to be a classic in your closet because it would look perfect with a denim skirt or pleated skirt come fall or layered over a maxi dress to transition your summer wardrobe into fall.

There is a pink quilted clutch that my cousin couldn’t want to get her hands on.  In fact she ended up wearing it to dinner after I have it to her because it’s so her style.  She lives in her skinny denim jeans and interchanges leather jackets with sweaters and silk tops depending on the season.  What’s more, she’s in college and kept raving about the price point of the new Princess Vera Wang collection.
