BEAUTY CORNER SKINCARE — 15 April 2011

Winter wreaks havoc not just on vacation plans but every aspect of daily life, including our skin. This past winter was no exception with bitter cold conditions drying out and chapping skin and causing many to seek refuge at department store counters.  As Spring slowly creeps into view, it’s imperative that we adjust our skincare routines to adjust to the warmer weather.

For starters, you must toss out old products because most will have exhausted their shelf life.  Products lose their potency over time so it’s very important to make sure all your creams, serums and makeup are up to date.  Springtime skincare products also tend to be lighter than winter products.  Using heavier creams in the warmer Spring and Summer weather will clog pores.  Spring cleaning your beauty cabinet is a must for every woman. Barneys New York makeup artist extraordinaire Jason Ascher gave an intimate group of beauty bloggers and editors a preview of effective products to incorporate into skincare regimens this spring.

We’ve tried all the Barneys New York Spring beauty and skincare products and the verdict is in:  these products work!  Clean, fresh youthful skin is in this season and attaining and maintaining is a sitch with some of these products.  Whether you’re looking for a new cleanser, that stay put mascara, sensational fragrance to lift your spirits or a pop of color to keep your look updated, these Barneys New York beauty products will take you from drab to fab.
